Bontaz has published its gender equality index for the year 2022 and this year has an index of 75 points. The stability of this index reflects the Group’s continued commitment to gender equality and diversity, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations Global Compact, of which Bontaz is a member.

WHAT IS THE GENDER EQUALITY INDEX?

The Gender Equality Index was designed as a tool to end gender inequality in the workplace. The index is composed of 5 main criteria, or indicators, that evaluate the inequalities between women and men in companies in the form of a score out of 100. Any company with at least 50 employees is required to calculate and publish this gender equality index.

BONTAZ REMAINS STABLE IN THE PURSUIT OF ITS OBJECTIVES

For the year 2022, the cumulative results obtained on the 5 monitoring indicators allow us to reach a score of 75 points out of a total of 100. This score remains stable despite the efforts made in terms of increases and promotions in favor of women to close the gap in average compensation per category that remains in favor of men (with a 2.4% gap in individual increases in favor of women compared to 1.1% in 2021 and a 3.6% gap in promotions in favor of women compared to 0.9% in 2021). This result demonstrates the Bontaz Group’s commitment to a policy that promotes diversity in all its forms.
A summary of the score obtained for each of the indicators is presented below:

A STRONG COMMITMENT TO GENDER

Gender equality is an issue for the Bontaz Group, which is part of its CSR policy based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN (Goal 5: Gender Equality).
It is in this respect that Bontaz has set itself the objective via the implementation of an ambitious action plan to improve the result of its index in the years to come and therefore to reduce the observed inequalities as much as possible.
