On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, we honored the football team coached by the Bontaz Academy, winner of the 2023 UNSS World Cup for high school students, which was held this summer in Morocco.

The victory at the 2023 UNSS World Cup for high school students of the team coached by the Bontaz Academy is a huge pride for the group and the crowning of a magnificent educational and sporting project. We had to honor the heroes who won this success, the players themselves, as well as the entire team of the Bontaz Academy.

On Wednesday, December 13, with the players from the Charles Baudelaire high school in Cluses, nearly seventy people gathered for this occasion, including a guest of honor, Mr. Aimé Jacquet, football coach of the French team during the 1998 World Cup.

Several speeches, often tinged with emotion, followed one another. An obvious link appeared between the values of the Bontaz Academy, those of football, the philosophy that drives the players and their management, which allowed them this unforgettable success, and the values of our group.

Alongside Mr. Daniel Anghelone, CEO, the following people spoke: Mr. Christophe Bontaz, President of Bontaz, Mr. Jean-Philippe Mas, Mayor of Cluses, Mr. Fabrice Gyselinck, Mayor of Thyez, Mr. Jean-Philippe Nallet, Director of the Bontaz Academy, Mr. Aimé Jacquet, guest of honor, coach of the French team world champion in 1998, Mr. Vernet, principal of the Charles Baudelaire high school, Mr. Julin Pitard, Coach, Mr Noah Moles Licata, Captain.

The ceremony was marked by several highlights:

  • the projection of a film retracing the journey of the players to the final,
  • the flocking of the first star (symbol of world champion) on their jersey,
  • the presentation of framed photos immortalizing the victory,
  • finally, a signing session of jerseys framed by the players

 

The guests were then able to head to the buffet to share a moment of conviviality around.

The Bontaz Academy was created by Yves Bontaz, founder of Bontaz, who trusted Jean-Philippe Nallet, former professional player, to create and develop it since 2017. It is an association, affiliated to the French Football Federation, which supervises sports school sections but also ensures the academic and professional follow-up of the players. It is linked with FC Annecy and the National Education.
