The CSR commitments made by the Group have now been rewarded: Bontaz France has been awarded an EcoVadis gold medal following the  evaluation. This gold medal is symbolic of Bontaz’s strong commitment to sustainable development.

Last year, Bontaz France was awarded a silver medal. This award shows a clear progression since Bontaz joins the top 5% of the 50,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis this year.

This result demonstrates a strong CSR ambition in the service of the Group’s transformation, which is reflected in the CSR policy called IMPACT. It is the result of a joint effort at all levels of the company and more particularly at the level of the Procurements, IT/IS, Quality HSE and Human Resources departments, which were heavily involved throughout this project.

This certification is very important because it allows the Group to continue its collaboration with certain strategic manufacturers who now require a high level of compliance on CSR issues. Bontaz can thus fully meet these requirements.

The EcoVadis 2021 assessment awarded the gold medal to Bontaz France. It corresponds to an “Advanced CSR Performance” and is awarded to companies that obtain an overall score higher than 65/100.

The CSR approach only makes sense if it is carried out at Group level. This is why these issues are deployed at the international level under the aegis of the United Nations Global Compact, of which Bontaz is a member.

While Bontaz France is currently in the spotlight, a number of initiatives will be implemented globally, in each of the subsidiaries, as part of the B1 ambition for 2030 and the IMPACT policy, which embodies the Group’s responsible strategy.

One example is Bontaz India. It was one of the first subsidiaries to be assessed in 2020 and was awarded a bronze medal. This result is very promising and underlines the commitment of the Indian subsidiary.

These efforts must of course be maintained in the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals.
